3rd Year Anniversary
My book’s 3rd anniversary comes as MAGA’s “counter-revolution” steamrolls through the WOKE revolution. Here are some excerpts that describe what we’re seeing: “The Left desires to change the fabric of this country to one that rejects its traditional constitutional, capitalistic, and Judeo-Christian framework with a desire to establish a socialist system. “The Right sees the current system as corrupt, with ‘the swamp’ overriding their rights and liberties. They want to maintain traditional structures but believe that they must replace or destroy those who are running ‘the system,’ or they will lose their rights, liberties, or traditional structures. ”Now as federal troops patrol DC streets, as mass deportation policies are seen as “fascist” and assaults against ICE officers increased 800%, as police staffing and morale stretch officers while being attacked and targeted, as states fight over gerrymandering, as NYC contemplates electing an admitted Socialist, and with indictments pending against powerful Democratic politicians along with former Biden and Obama administration players, these are just a few of the volatile factors percolating in plain view. Underlying these are unrelenting deep-seated forces. Here is how I described it: “The point that one must glean from these comparative examples is that ifthe justice system places its resources and enforcement on one type of extremist yet downplays or ignores those of a different political sphere; we will get more of both… “Those who are aggressively pursued and demonized may conclude that they are being treated as ‘political prisoners’ or worse, as ‘terrorists.’ … some percentage of them will conclude that the only option they have is to fight back. To wage a war against a war being waged on them. “Those who are given the freedom to riot, or to ‘peacefully protest,’ will see this as a license to loot and commit other crimes… At some point, government will have to push back. It is then that the true believers will go ‘underground’ and maintain the fight in a more clandestine, terroristic manner. ”Three years following publication, the tide has turned, but the underlying collision is still coming. Our biases inevitably cause us to pick sides. Finding a road forward gets harder as violence creates victims, who may be seen as martyrs. Counter-violence, or even a dangerous cycle of violence could result. Can we find a solution? Can reasonable people prevail… my hope was this: “… the overriding emphasis and theme of this book is to speak of the coming revolution. A turning point is coming. A crossroad is before us. Articulating what is ahead—and why—is the challenge. Can this be accomplished in a manner that doesn’t alienate large segments of the population? This is the challenge. Yet, it is the goal of this book. ”If you want to see the dots connected, if you want to see below the surface, check out the book:
